Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 24, 2026

You are reading the operational rules for Smart Screen Showcase. We test televisions, calibrate monitors, and evaluate projectors. We publish the raw results here. By accessing and using smartscreenshowcase.com, you agree to abide by these terms. If you disagree with these rules, close the tab. We built this site for serious home theater enthusiasts and interior design professionals. We expect our readers to respect the boundaries we set.

Who Owns This Content

We buy the displays. We assemble the ambient light rejecting (ALR) screens. We spend hours in dark, light-controlled rooms measuring contrast ratios, input lag, and color accuracy. The words, photographs, and testing methodologies on this site belong entirely to us. They represent our direct labor.

You can’t scrape our reviews. You can’t copy our calibration settings and publish them as your own original work. We spend six hours dialing in the white balance on a new QD-OLED panel. When automated bots steal those settings and paste them into a generic listicle, it damages our business. We enforce our copyrights actively. We issue takedown notices. We protect our intellectual property.

If you want to reference a specific finding about a TCL gaming TV or a Nothing Projector setup, you must link back to the original article. Give proper attribution. Quote short excerpts only. Stealing our work carries real friction, and we do not ignore it.

Affiliate Links and Revenue

Testing 8K displays and ultra-short-throw projectors requires serious capital. High-end home theater equipment is expensive. A proper 120-inch ALR screen alone costs more than most standard televisions. We fund this independent testing operation through affiliate marketing.

When you click a link to buy a monitor or projector screen we recommend, we earn a commission from the retailer. This costs you nothing extra. It allows us to purchase the next round of displays for testing.

Our editorial process remains entirely separate from our revenue model. We reject sponsored reviews. We refuse paid placements. If a highly anticipated laser projector suffers from terrible input lag or poor black uniformity, we publish those flaws. The commission never outweighs the truth. We recommend the gear that actually performs in the real world.

We protect our editorial independence fiercely.

Information Purposes Only

We test displays under highly specific, controlled conditions. Your living room is not our testing lab. Ambient light, wall color, viewing angles, and room dimensions vary wildly from house to house. The advice we publish serves as a baseline guide, not absolute professional instruction.

Panel variance is a documented, frustrating reality in display manufacturing. The specific monitor we review on our test bench has unique uniformity characteristics. The exact same model you buy off the shelf will have different backlight bleed, different peak brightness, and different color accuracy out of the box. The calibration settings we provide work for our specific panels. Your results will differ.

We provide this information as-is. We make no guarantees that a specific ultra-short-throw setup will fit your exact wall dimensions. We make no promises that a specific high-refresh-rate monitor will cure your eye strain. Measure your space. Read the manufacturer specifications. Make your own purchasing decisions.

Where Our Responsibility Ends

Smart Screen Showcase and its operating team hold no liability for damages arising from your use of this site. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. You apply our advice at your own risk.

If you mount a 75-inch display using cheap drywall anchors because you liked how it looked in our interior design photos, and it crashes to the floor, that is your responsibility. Hire a professional installer if you lack the tools, hardware, or experience to safely mount heavy electronics.

If a mandatory firmware update bricks the television we recommended last month, that dispute is between you and the manufacturer. We report on the hardware and software as it exists during our specific testing window. We do not control what companies do to their products after publication.

The noise of the internet is loud. We aim to provide clear signal. But you consume and act on our content entirely at your own risk.

Reader Contributions and Community

We allow comments on specific reviews, buying guides, and comparison articles. We expect technical accuracy and basic respect. We welcome vigorous debate about the merits of laser projectors versus traditional lamp units. We want to hear about your real-world experiences with different screen materials.

We do not tolerate spam. Do not flood our comment sections with links to unverified HDMI cables or shady third-party reseller sites. We delete spam immediately. We ban the offending IP addresses permanently. Keep the focus on display technology and interior integration.

Updates to This Agreement
